After re-designing my own office, it was finally time to tackle my husband’s home office — and I’m so excited to share the reveal! This blue home study/office space has been a labor of love — designed to be functional, boost productivity, and most importantly, comfort. He wanted a room that felt intentional, calming, and masculine, so every element was chosen with care.
When we built our home 18 years ago, this space had sage green walls and dark wood accents throughout. We decided to update with deep, moody blues paired with wood tones and gold accents to keep the room feeling modern yet grounded. We used Benjamin Moore Van Deusen Blue in high gloss on all the trim and eggshell finish on the walls.
We kept his original desk which is large and streamlined, perfect for his monitor and plenty of workspace. My favorite touch? The beautiful pair of Alice Lane Home Phoenix Mirrors which fill the large wall space. Their organic, unframed design features a rich rust finish, adding warmth and texture to the room. They not only serve as a practical reflective surface but also double as captivating art. These mirrors can be purchased individually (small or large) and hung vertically or horizontally. They also come in a clear finish and are 25% off through April 27th!

Behind the desk, built-in shelves frame a contemporary art piece and display a mix of cherished travel mementos, blue decorative pieces, some houseplants to breathe life into the room, and a few personal touches — including family photos and awards. A cozy reading nook in the corner gives him a spot to reset during busy days.
The blue antelope rug is a bold yet elegant design. Shades of blue and ivory make a great foundation— allowing us to layer in navy accessories, soft cream textiles, and touches of brushed gold for contrast and sophistication.
Lighting was key, so we removed the ceiling fan and installed recessed lighting and a modern sputnik chandelier with a warm glow.
He finally has a space that’s as relaxing as it is funcional — organized, inspiring, and ideal for deep focus. Safe to say, he’s never been more excited to work from home!
